On 19 July about 2000 Non Resident Indians and persons of India origin based in UK, as well as students studying in UK colleges staged a rally and meeting opposite the British Houses of Parliament at Westminster, London.
This was to protest the naked abuse of political power by the government of India in evicting sleeping protestors making use of their right to protest against inaction on corruption and graft in high places in Indian government and political order and apathy towards unaccounted foreign assets of Indian citizens.
Common Indians are demanding accountability and transparency for capital flight from India to foreign tax havens and the hold of black money on Indian political processes.
